High Potential Names The Resident Boss as New Showrunner, Following Rob Thomas’ Exit From ABC Drama
There’s been a changing of the guard at High Potential. The upcoming ABC drama has set Todd Harthan (The Resident) as its new showrunner, our sister site Deadline reports, following the departure of original showrunner Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars, Party Down).
Production on the Kaitlin Olson-led series has been paused during the search for a new showrunner, but it will reportedly resume next month. Thomas and High Potential‘s parting of ways, which was first announced earlier this month, was said to be “amicable.”

High Potential is set to debut this fall, airing Tuesdays at 10/9c (where it will lead out of Dancing With the Stars, seeing as Will Trent and The Rookie are both riding the pine until 2025).
