Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma Christmas Eve Pic After Secret Wedding

Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma spend their first Christmas together as newlyweds. Despite Duff's frustration with paparazzi, everything seems to be going pretty perfectly.

This Christmas Eve, the couple adhered to a common Christmas tradition. The couple attempted to take a nice family picture by the tree with their child Banks Violet Blair who is one year old and Duff's child from former marriage to Mike Comrie, Luca Cruz Comrie who is 7 years old. However, the picture didn't go according to plan.

According to PopCulture, Duff posted a picture of the hilarious results on Instagram and captioned it, "This was the best we got. Merry Christmas Eve!" Luca is lying across Duff's lap with his arm and leg in the air. Banks is sitting in Koma's lap looking like she's ready to have a meltdown. Even Duff's eyes are closed making Koma look like the only one who was truly ready for the picture.

This picture came less than a week after their private wedding.

“It was a love-fest – a small and intimate ceremony at her house with friends and family,” a source shared to Just Jared describing the wedding.

"The ceremony started at sunset and they got married inside the house. When the ceremony was over, guests cheered. The reception was in a white tent in the backyard," another source said to People describing the wedding as "small" and "low-key." "Her sister Haylie was very involved in the wedding prep too. Hilary and Haylie are very close."

Duff and Koma got engaged after having their first child, Banks Violet Blair, together in 2018.

"Matthew really wanted to throw Hilary off guard," an insider shared to E! News of the proposal. "It was just the two of them on a rooftop outside," then adding, "Matthew wanted it to be meaningful, but casual because he knows Hilary wasn't dying to get engaged. She knew it was important to him and he wanted to propose to signify them being a family unit."

While Duff didn't need a proposal from Koma, she was happy to bring the family together officially.

"Hilary has always known she would be with Matthew forever and having Banks sealed the deal," the source said. "She's really happy and excited. Everyone in Hilary's family has always loved him and seeing him be a dad to Banks now has only made their relationship stronger."

Koma also sealed the deal of their family in his own way. He got a tattoo in honor of the two children.
