Hoda Kotb Shares Subtle Message in First Post Since Election

Today star Hoda Kotb returned to social media for the first time since Vice President Kamala Harris lost the presidential election to Donald Trump, sharing a subtle message of hope.

The mother of two posted an update on Instagram on Nov. 7, writing in the caption, "Happy thursday xoxo." She shared a photo of a quote from British author Clare Pooley that said, "In a world where you can be anything, be kind."

Kotb's latest post was the first update since Halloween when she shared photos of herself with her two daughters, Hope and Haley.

Fans loved Kotb's message and noted their appreciation in the comments.

"This seems more important now than ever," said one fan, while similar replies read, "Thank you Hoda for your positivity ??," and "I'm trying..oh baby..I'm trying????????."

One fan was so touched by Kotb's subtle message that they said, "Starting a petition. You definitely can’t leave the Today show now. We need your daily positivity."

Only a few days ago, Kotb was trick-or-treating with her daughters and friends, having a joyful time together. In the photos she shared of the holiday, Kotb was dressed as a pumpkin while her two little girls wore cheerleader costumes.

Despite Kotb's recent update, she has not directly shared a public reaction to the divisive election.
