Hollywood Stars Call on Oprah to Run for President in 2020: ‘This Is Not a Drill’
Oprah Winfrey’s inspirational speech at Sunday’s Golden Globes was one of the night’s highlights, and had many hoping that it would be a launching pad for a potential presidential run in 2020.
“Please run for President. This world needs more of THAT,” tweeted country music star Billy Gilman.
Added “Murder on the Orient Express” star Josh Gad, “That hangover you feel this morning, the one that gives you a pit of hopefulness in your stomach, is called #Oprah2020.”

While it seemed like wishful thinking by those caught up in the moment, a Winfrey-fronted ticket may not be as far-fetched as you may think.
Winfrey’s longtime partner, Stedman Graham, wouldn’t rule out a future run. “It’s up to the people,” Graham told the L.A. Times. “She would absolutely do it.”
Following the speech, the #Oprah2020 quickly became a talking point on Twitter.
