“Home Improvement” Star Zachery Ty Bryan Faces Second DUI Charge in a Year

Zachery Ty Bryan has been arrested and charged with DUI, months after a previous DUI arrest in February.

The Home Improvement star, 43, was arrested on Friday, Oct. 25 at 8:34 a.m., according to the Custer County Sheriff's Office in Oklahoma, for allegedly driving under the influence and not having a valid license. The Oklahoman, local ABC affiliate KOCO News and Fox 23 News also reported Bryan's arrest.

PEOPLE reached out to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for further comment but did not receive an immediate reply.

Bryan was previously arrested for an alleged DUI on Feb. 17, along with alleged contempt of court. He was released on bail the same day but had a court hearing date set for April. In March, he was charged with a felony for having three or more priors within the last 10 years, per TV Insider, and could face up to three years in prison if convicted.

These two alleged DUIs are among a series of legal issues for Bryan in recent years. In July 2023, the actor was charged with fourth-degree felony assault, third-degree robbery and harassment, and was ordered to spend seven days in jail.

In October 2020, Bryan was involved in a domestic violence dispute and arrested on charges of alleged fourth-degree assault and strangulation, per Entertainment Weekly. He ultimately pled guilty to misdemeanor menacing and misdemeanor assault.

His sentencing included 36 months of "bench probation" and participation in the Bridges2Safety program. Months before, he was charged with a DUI in May 2020.

Along with his role in Home Improvement, Bryan is known for his appearances in First Kid and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. He stepped away from acting in 2009.
