Hootie & the Blowfish coming to Alpine Valley Music Theatre as part of 43-city summer tour
Hootie & the Blowfish reunited in 2019 to tour behind the 25th anniversary of their blockbuster album “Cracked Rear View” — a tour that included an Alpine Valley Music Theatre show.
Now, Darius Rucker and company are doing it again, to celebrate the album’s 30th anniversary in 2024 on the "Summer Camp With Trucks" tour.
The 43-city tour, from late May to late September, includes a return to Alpine Valley Aug. 10. Collective Soul and Edwin McCain will open all dates on the tour.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday at livenation.com, with presale access for fan club members and Citi card holders beginning at noon Tuesday.
It's the second concert announced for the East Troy amphitheater for 2024 so far. Folk-pop artist Noah Kahan, who drew one of the largest crowds ever for a grounds stage performance at Summerfest this year, will play Alpine July 13.
