‘Hot Frosty’ Trailer: Lacey Chabert’s Netflix Christmas Movie Brings a Sexy Snowman to Life and Nods to ‘Mean Girls’
Some people are worth melting for — especially the hot ones.
In the new trailer for Netflix’s holiday rom-com “Hot Frosty,” Christmas movie queen Lacey Chabert stars as a widow named Kathy, who magically brings a sexy snowman (“Schitt’s Creek” alum Dustin Milligan) to life. Through his na?veté, the snowman helps Kathy to laugh, feel and love again, as the two fall for each other just in time for the holidays … and before he melts.

At the end of the trailer, Chabert’s character is seen watching Lindsay Lohan’s 2023 Netflix holiday film “Falling for Christmas.” In a nod to their beloved 2004 flick “Mean Girls,” she quips, “That’s so funny. That looks just like a girl I went to high school with.”
Joe Lo Truglio and Craig Robinson bring some comedic relief as a pair of police officers, while Katy Mixon Greer, Lauren Holly, Chrishell Stause, Sherry Miller, Dan Lett, Matthew Stefiuk, Heleene Lohan Cameron, Allan Royal, Sarah Desouza-Coelho and Bobby Daniels also star.
Jerry Ciccoritti directed the film from a script written by Russell Hainline. Joel S. Rice and Michael Barbuto produce, while Aren Prupas and Jonas Prupas serve as executive producers.
“Hot Frosty” hits Netflix on Nov. 13. The streamer is releasing a new holiday rom-com every Wednesday in November. Other titles are the Christina Milian-led “Meet Me Next Christmas” on Nov. 6, “The Merry Gentlemen” starring Chad Michael Murray and Britt Robertson on Nov. 20 and the Lindsay Lohan-led “Our Little Secret” on Nov. 27.
In addition to the merry rom-coms, Netflix’s holiday offerings include NFL’s two Christmas Day marquee games, Christmas-set thriller “Carry On” with Taron Egerton, animated feature “That Christmas,” Keira Knightley-led holiday mystery series “Black Doves” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “A Nonsense Christmas” special.
