The British are coming! The British are coming!

Move over New Kids on the Block, Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff. You're not the only '80s throwback tour heading to Columbus this month.

Howard Jones, ABC and Haircut One Hundred — all part of music's "Second British Invasion" of the 1980s — are scheduled to perform at TempleLive at the Columbus Athenaeum on Aug. 28.

Ticket prices start at $65 for the floor and $75 for seats at ticketmaster.com.

Known for writing hooky synth-pop with positive-thinking lyrics, Jones released a stream of hits in the mid to late '80s that included "New Song," "What Is Love?," "Like to Get to Know You Well," "Things Can Only Get Better," "No One is to Blame" and "Everlasting Love."

With dapper, besuited frontman Martin Fry at the mic, ABC charted five U.S. Top 40 hit singles between 1981 and 1990: "Poison Arrow," "The Look of Love," "Be Near Me," "When Smokey Sings" and "(How to Be A) Millionaire."

Haircut One Hundred's "Love Plus One" reached the U.S. Top 40 in 1982. The London band is also known for songs such as "Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl)," "Fantastic Day" and "Nobody's Fool."
