Aside from being a very well-known actor, Hugh Grant is also a loving father to five kids. And while the actor has never shied away from talking about them, Grant has kept the names of his two youngest daughters a secret—until now. We have their unique names and the reasoning behind them below!

What Hugh Grant’s two youngest daughters are named

While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Grant told the host that his 8-year-old daughter is named Lulu Danger Grant, and his 6-year-old daughter’s name is Blue Grant, both of whom he shares with his now-wife Anna Eberstein.

While those names might seem a little obscure, they actually make total sense for the British actor, who also revealed on the late-night talk show that his full name was Hugh John Mungo.

“I don’t know how it happened. I had very unkind parents,” Grant said before calling his children’s names “worse.”

According to the actor, he and his wife were “in a bit of a panic” the day they named their daughter Lulu.

"We thought it might be nice for her when she was older if she could say in bars that her middle name was Danger. So her name is Lulu Danger Grant.” Grant also confirmed that the name Danger is a reference to the 1997 film Austin Powers.

The same thing happened when the couple welcomed their youngest daughter Blue. Grant said he was “panicked” and “asked her elder brother when she was on the way.”

The actor recalled telling his son, “'There's a new baby coming along, what should we call her?' He [the son] said, 'Kevin' because that was his favorite Minion."

"We did think about calling her Kevin. But then we said, 'You better think of something else,' and he said ‘Blue’ because it's his favorite color."

All about Hugh Grant’s other kids

Aside from Lulu and Blue, Grant has one other child with his wife, Eberstein, a Swedish television producer, and two that he shares with his ex-girlfriend, Tinglan Hong.

First came Tabitha Xiao Xi Grant, who is currently 13 years old. She was welcomed by Hong and Grant in 2011, but the actor missed the birth to try and minimize the publicity, saying, “I was very keen to see my daughter as soon as possible, even if it could only be for a short time, so in the end, I took a risk and visited the day after the birth.”

Next, Grant and Eberstein welcomed their first child together in September 2012 (yes, the timelines of Grant's relationships overlap). His name is John Mungo Grant. He is currently 12 years old, and his name is a reference to the actor's full name. The two were only together for a little while before Eberstein got pregnant.

Three months after his second child was born, Grant welcomed a third child, Felix Chang, with his ex-girlfriend Hong. At the time of the birth, the actor took to X (Twitter at the time) to announce it, writing, “[I] am thrilled my daughter now has a brother. [I] adore them both to an uncool degree. They have a fab mum." The post has since been deleted and it remains unclear how both women got pregnant around the same time.

Then, in 2015, Grant and Eberstein welcomed their daughter Lulu into the world, followed by Blue in 2018.

And while five kids may seem like a lot, Grant loves it, saying, “It’s just lovely to have all that love around. Suddenly, you love someone more than yourself. It’s unheard of in my case. And they love you, and it’s all enchanting.”
