Hugh Jackman Compared Blake Lively’s 'Beautiful' Ability to 'Shape-Shift' to This Former Co-Star
Knowing how closely Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds work together, it’s no wonder that Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine co-star Hugh Jackman has gotten quite close to Lively. But in addition to seeing Lively hard at work helping their movie, it seems Jackman’s got a taste of all of Lively’s sides, from being a movie star to a mom of four.
“These are like old-school megawatt stars,” Jackman told Vogue of Lively and Reynolds. “And of course, I’ve spent many hours with them, like in pajamas just hanging out in their house with their nine hundred children and dogs and it is just as normal as can be.” Lively and Reynolds are parents to daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and son Olin, 1.

“Blake will be baking and cooking and saying, ‘Let’s make pizza,’ and then the next thing you turn around and there she is – this incredible star,” Jackman gushed of the It Ends With Us star. “It’s…it’s astonishing to me.”
Jackman continued raving about Lively, noting that her initial shyness reminds him of his former Australia co-star Nicole Kidman.
“She says she’s shy,” Jackman said of Lively. “And I believe that. I think there’s a shyness there. I’ve seen it before. Nicole Kidman and others have it. There’s a shyness, and it leads into this ability to morph and shape-shift. And she’s, as I said, walking around in pajamas, and then five minutes later—it’s Elizabeth Taylor! At the height of her beauty. And you’re like, What? How? And it’s totally…it’s miraculous. It’s a beautiful thing to watch.” Looks like Reynolds isn’t the only Deadpool & Wolverine star with googly eyes around Lively!
And, as it turns out, Lively opened up about her shyness and her shape-shifting ways to the outlet.
“I’m a very shy person, so I don’t like doing photo shoots, really,” she told the outlet. “Because when I’m acting, I’m playing a character. And I don’t…I don’t feel super comfortable in front of a camera. It’s part of why I don’t want to be in magazines. I know it’s not something I’m supposed to say—I mean, this is I think the first cover I’ve done in four years.”
“I’m just too shy,” she added.
For the cover and spread, Lively posed with Jackman under the direction of her favorite director, Baz Luhrmann. In the pics, she clearly shape-shifted into a high-fashion model too.
