Hugh Jackman Gave Stephen Colbert an Embarrassing Injury
Hugh Jackman swung by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to promote his new film, Logan, and thanked the CBS host for helping him out at a Global Citizens rally in Central Park last year.
Jackman said, “I came out from way to stage left only to discover my eyesight has gotten bad. I said, ‘Could you read it for me?’ I stood there the entire time while you covered for me.” The embodiment of Wolverine for the past 17 years said, “I now have contact lenses, so thank you for that.”
Unfortunately, Colbert hurt his legs while sitting on the actor’s shoulders — because Jackman’s muscles are so hard. As Colbert walked off stage, his wife added insult to injury, saying, “Are you telling me you hurt your leg sitting on his shoulders?”
Colbert described the experience as “humbling.”
The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35pm ET on CBS.
