Hunter Schafer’s The Coolest Girl at Cannes Film Festival
Hunter Schafer’s Cannes fashion is the latest addition to my style mood board. She’s very uncontroversially and without challengers, a cool girl, an “it-girl,” a style icon. But here she is, upping the ante once again.
Schafer appeared pretty fresh faced this morning in Cannes, wearing an extreme cashmere gray sweater, a slouchy black leather jacket, blue jeans, red, blue, and orange striped socks, and a pair of Margiela tabi flats. She also had on a pair of Prada sunglasses, a black leather shoulder bag, and an extreme cashmere head scarf tied just under her chin. Slut strands pulled out, obviously.

It’s not clear how long Schafer has been at the film festival, since this is the first appearance she’s made in Cannes since this year’s festival began a few days ago on May 14. We’re definitely excited for the movies that will be premiering this year at Cannes, but of course, we’re always looking forward to Hunter Schafer’s Cannes red carpet looks and street style outfits.
Schafer stars in one of the films, Kinds of Kindness, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, which premieres at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Other highly anticipated films premiering this year are Megalopolis by Francis Ford Coppola, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga by George Miller, The Second Act by Quentin Dupieux, and Wild Diamond by Agathe Riedinger, among others.
In addition to Kinds of Kindness, Hunter Schafer will be starring in a new body horror thriller film set to release in theatres this summer called Cuckoo. The film follows a young woman named Gretchen, played by Schafer, whose father brings her to a resort in the German Alps, which she’s less than thrilled about. The film’s monster is a carnivorous bird disguised as a human. Cuckoo, which premiered at South By Southwest in Austin, Texas earlier this year, will be available to view August 2.
