Huzzah! Merriment, magic and wonder await thou at the new Bucks County Renaissance Faire
Good morrow to all thee who wish for a feast beyond thine imagination!
The inaugural Bucks County Renaissance Faire is coming to Doylestown Township this fall, providing a host of festivities over Labor Day weekend.
Erin Van Yuga, event organizer and co-owner of Found Artifact Entertainment, said her company specializes in bringing the renaissance faire experience closer to home.
"My husband and I moved to Bucks County four years ago to raise our family here. We love finding new things to do with our kids, and so starting a new Renaissance Faire here felt like a perfect fit,” she said.
“Now we will have one here in our community that we can all look forward to each year.”
When and where is the Bucks County Renaissance Faire being held?
The outdoor event will take place Aug. 31 – Sept. 2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day at The Tileworks of Bucks County at 130 E. Swamp Road in Doylestown.
What is there to do at the Renaissance Fair?
Professional entertainment will take place across multiple stages throughout the weekend, ranging from falconry, magic and juggling to music, comedy and theater.
There are also plenty of traditional renaissance faire activities — like ax-throwing, archery, and blacksmithing demonstrations — as well as family activities like face-painting, pony and “unicorn” rides, and a petting zoo.
More than 60 artisan vendors are lined up so far, offering food, beer, crafts, tarot card readings, henna and much more.
The Tileworks will also lead tilemaking demonstrations and host smaller versions of their tour.
How much does it cost to attend the Bucks County Renaissance Faire?
Adult general admission is $20.
Admission for children ages 5–14 is $10; and kids under 5 can attend for free.
Discounted tickets for seniors and veterans are also available for $15.
