Nicholas Galitzine is addressing his sexuality in a new interview.

After playing gay characters in the rom-com “Red, White & Royal Blue” and the miniseries “Mary & George,” Galitzine, 29, confirmed his sexual preference to GQ.

“I identify as a straight man, but I have been a part of some incredible queer stories,” he said in a story published Wednesday.

The British actor elaborated on his experience starring in LGBTQ+ projects on television.

“I felt a sense of uncertainty sometimes about whether I’m taking up someone’s space, and perhaps guilt,” he admitted. “At the same time, I see those characters as not solely their sexuality.”

Galitzine also declared that he’s different than the men he portrays on screen.

“I am Nick, and I’m not my role,” he said.

Galitzine played a gay prince opposite Taylor Zakhar Perez in 2019’s “Red, White & Royal Blue,” and a gay duke in 2023’s “Mary & George,” where Julianne Moore starred as his on-screen mom.

While doing press for the latter role last July, Galitzine explained that there’s “a plethora of reasons” why he agrees to play queer characters.

“One, I have so many friends within the community, and I know so many of them didn’t feel like they had these stories growing up,” he told Huffington Post UK. “My gay friends were like wow, to have something cheesy and broad and wholesome is like really, really important, and I think the resonance of that means a lot to me.”

Galitzine added, “I think with all of these characters the thing that I find really intriguing as an actor is that underbelly of vulnerability and having to hide oneself. I’m very interested in identity.”

Despite being a rising star in Hollywood, Galitzine hasn’t had the easiest time in his love life. Last month, he revealed that finding a special someone is difficult as an actor.

“I am acutely aware that I am so lucky to do the job that I do, but it, like any job, has its pitfalls,” Galtizine told People.

“The transience of the job, never really being in the same place at the same time as maybe family or relationships, can be really difficult, really straining,” he added.

Galtzine’s latest project is the rom-com “The Idea of You,” where he stars as Anne Hathaway’s much-younger lover. The film came out May 2 on Prime Video and has received positive reviews from critics.

“The pair has sizzling chemistry together,” New York Post movie critic Johnny Oleksinski wrote. “The film, with a smart script by Jennifer Westfeldt, is a sort-of reverse ‘Notting Hill,’ but without the ‘90s shimmer of the Richard Curtis-penned comedy. And with a lot more crying.”
