‘Immaculate’ Filmmaker Michael Mohan Signs With Range Media Partners
EXCLUSIVE: Michael Mohan, the filmmaker behind Neon’s recent horror pic Immaculate, produced by and starring Sydney Sweeney, has joined the roster at management and production company Range Media Partners.
Released in theaters in March, following its premiere at SXSW, Mohan’s Immaculate follows Cecilia (Sweeney), a woman of devout faith who is offered a fulfilling new role at an illustrious Italian convent. Her warm welcome to the picture-perfect Italian countryside is soon interrupted as it becomes clearer to Cecilia that her new home harbors some dark and horrifying secrets.

The film was critically acclaimed, if only a modest success at the box office, at a gross exceeding $28 million. Mohan directed from a script by Andrew Lobel.
Prior to Immaculate, Mohan collaborated with Sweeney on The Voyeurs, an erotic thriller for Prime Video, which also starred Justice Smith, Ben Hardy, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo. She also appeared on his teen comedy-drama series Everything Sucks!, co-created for Netflix with Ben York Jones, for which he also served as director, co-writer, and co-executive producer.
Mohan’s body of work spans several genres, from the romantic comedy Save the Date starring Lizzy Caplan and Alison Brie, to his erotic short films Ex-Sex and Pink Grapefruit, the latter of which won the SXSW Jury Award. His early work includes the microbudget feature One Too Many Mornings, which premiered at Sundance in 2010, and #Missadventure, a series of branded short films for Kate Spade, featuring Anna Kendrick and Lily Tomlin.
Prior to his full-time filmmaking career, Mohan served as the senior coordinator for Sundance’s Screenwriting and Directing Labs. He continues to be represented by WME, Brecheen Feldman Breimer, and Rogers & Cowan PMK.
