The Important Clue About Alan On Young and the Restless
On August 14, Traci returned to Genoa City with Alan by her side on The Young and the Restless. Billy, Jack, and Diane noticed how incredibly happy the new couple seemed. Billy even remarked that it was the real deal. Of course, there was just one small problem.
That’s Not Alan
When Alan (Christopher Cousins) walked into the Abbott mansion, he looked around in awe. In fact, it was almost like he’d never seen it before. Traci (Beth Maitland) reminded him that he’d been there before, and Alan played it off like he was seeing it with new eyes since he was with Traci this time. It seemed almost plausible.
However, given that the whole situation with Alan and Martin in Paris happened, with Martin supposedly dying, it’s easy to see how that might not have been the case. We’ve thought since that moment that Alan may have been the one who died. After all, what’s an evil twin storyline without some type of additional twist?
Throughout the scenes yesterday, Alan continued talking about his return to Genoa City. He mentioned each person by name, but all of that could be easily explained by Martin trying to assume Alan’s identity. He certainly would know enough to know the names of Traci’s siblings and sister-in-law.
We love seeing Traci so happy. It’s about time that she has a beautiful romance in her life, but we fear that it will all come crashing down should Alan turn out to be his twin brother Martin. The true test will likely be when Ashley (Eileen Davidson) returns to Genoa City by the end of the summer. Will she be able to tell?
What do you think? Is Traci’s new beau really Alan, or is it his evil twin, Martin? Let us know in the comments below.
