Best-selling author Ken Follett, known for his historical fiction novels, has signed with Independent Artist Group for media rights representation.

The author of “The Century Trilogy” has a string of chart-topping books, having sold about 192 million copies of his 37 written works. His first major success was “Eye of the Needle” in 1978. The World War II thriller, set in England, earned him the 1979 Edgar Award for best novel from the Mystery Writers of America. Later, in 1989, Follett released “The Pillars of the Earth,” a novel centered around the building of a medieval cathedral. It sold more than 29 million copies worldwide and was selected for Oprah’s Book Club in 2008, becoming the club’s fastest-selling book. This propelled it onto The New York Times bestseller list, where it stayed for 18 weeks. It was also on the German bestseller list for six years.

Follett said he was “thrilled to join forces with Independent Artist Group, a powerhouse in the entertainment industry. This collaboration opens up exciting possibilities for expanding the reach of my work and connecting with audiences on a deeper level. I believe that together, we can create memorable and impactful experiences across various media platforms.”

Steve Fisher, partner and head of media rights for IAG, said Fillet “is one of the world’s most prolific and accomplished authors of our time, and we are honored that he has chosen us to partner with him to bring his unique storytelling to film and television projects, which we could not be more excited to do.”
