When Indochino launched its direct-to-consumer, made-to-measure suiting service, it changed the game for a lot of guys. Finding a suit that fits—as important as that is—is a lot harder than it sounds. Not every full-grown adult has fully grown into an exact jacket and pant size, leaving you with one of two options. First, you can take your off-the-rack suit to a tailor (and you always should!) to get it as close to there as possible. Or, you can go the bespoke route, which until recently, felt like it was reserved for guys with corner offices and summer houses (a.k.a. that shit's expensive).

So when Indochino came on the scene, offering a swift, affordable process that puts you in a suit designed to fit you and only you, custom suiting became something any guy could achieve. And now, along with the release of its fall/winter 19 line, the brand has rolled out the same bespoke treatment to a new trio of outerwear pieces—an overcoat, a mac, and a trench coat.

Because it's 2019 and you enjoy shopping on the internet, let's talk about the overcoat, because it's available right now for you to buy online. (The other two are currently only available in-store.) This is a piece of outerwear every guy should have in his arsenal in some form—and lucky for all of us, Indochino's offering allows your custom overcoat to take many different forms. Just like with Indochino's custom suiting, with the overcoat you can choose between an array of colors, lapel styles, buttons, linings, pockets, and more. Of course, it will be fitted precisely to your liking, and when you're ready to add a second coat—the mac or trench perhaps—your measurements will already be dialed into the system.

Come fall, a bold piece of outerwear is the easiest way to make a style statement. Not only does choosing a color like camel or olive help you stand out among a sea of black and blue, but it allows you to play with the kinds of layers that make fall the Best Season for Dressin'. And speaking of—if you're looking for something to pop from underneath said outerwear, there's a brown velvet suit waiting for you here.
