Normally when I play a festival, I don't have much time to just hang out. Cattle Country was different though! My manager Bruce is one of the co-founders, so I decided to come in a day early and take it all in. The festival took place on a huge ranch in Gonzales, Texas along a stretch of the Guadalupe River.

I knew I had to get some fishing in, so I hopped in the ATV with Bruce and his family to throw some lines out.

Even though a bunch of artists are in the same place during a festival, we are all usually busy getting ready for our sets. This time, it was nice to have a chance to catch up backstage with people like JJ Julius Son from KALEO.

The Southall guys were looking thirsty during their set, so I took a few beers out to the stage for us to enjoy. If you haven't listened to our song "Oklahoma" yet, what are you waiting for?

Trying my hand at concert photography during Randy Rogers Band. Can't wait to see how these turned out — just gotta get the film developed!

It was fun getting to enjoy all that Cattle Country fest had to offer, but finally it was our turn to get out on the stage. The audience was having a blast. And maybe next time we perform we'll have a new song for y'all, too... "Fireside" anyone?
