Lopez has released nine albums since 1999. Now, this would be the third album about Affleck, including the flopped This Is Me… Now and her highly successful 2002 album This Is Me… Then. This new heartbreak album would be her second heartbreak album, with her first being the 2014 album A.K.A, which was heavily inspired by her divorce from Marc Anthony.
