‘Iron Fist’ Season 2: Alice Eve’s Character Revealed as Typhoid Mary

We finally know who Alice Eve will play when she joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Netflix’s “Iron Fist” Season 2 on Sept. 7.

Eve was featured during Marvel’s “Iron Fist” panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2018, in which Marvel Television boss Jeph Loeb announced who she’ll actually play in Season 2. Eve will take on the role of villain Typhoid Mary (real name Mary Walker), who in the comics is a powerful mutant baddie with telekinetic powers. She has served as an assassin for criminals in the past in her comic iteration, and also has a lengthy relationship with Daredevil, for whom she is sometimes a lover, and sometimes a villain.

Typhoid Mary also suffers from dissociative identity disorder in the comics — that is, she has multiple personalities. Who knows if and how that’ll factor into “Iron Fist.”

We’ve known Eve would be part of “Iron Fist” Season 2 for a while. She previously popped up in set photos from the show alongside Finn Jones, who plays the titular Iron Fist, Danny Rand. What wasn’t clear was her role in the show, and from the clips and photos shown so far, it might not be as simple as her being just another villain.

Set photos appear to show Typhoid Mary as working to help Danny, and in a clip shown during the Comic-Con panel, Mary attacked someone who good guys Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) and Misty Knight (Simone Missick) were talking to, but didn’t fight the pair outright.
