Here’s Who Isaiah Gannon Really Is On General Hospital
He was checked into General Hospital as John Doe, but we know the mystery patient is really Isiah Gannon, the man Lucky freed from being held prisoner by Sidwell. Here’s what we think will come out about him shortly:
It’s Who You Know
Gannon… Gannon… Gannon… Now, where did we hear that name before? Oh, yeah! Norah Hannon Gannon Buchanon (Hillary Bailey Smith). She came to Port Charles in 2017 as a lawyer for Valentin (James Patrick Stuart).
For decades before that, Norah was a leading lady on One Life to Live, including when GH’s current Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, performed the same job for the folks of Llanview. This obviously non-coincidence makes us think that Isaiah’s (Sawandi Wilson — here’s what you need to know) last name, Gannon, wasn’t just plucked from a hat. It has to mean something.

Shaking the Family Tree
So, who could Isaiah be? Where could he fit in? Norah picked up the Gannon last name from her first husband, Hank (Nathan Purdee). Hank had a brother, RJ (Timothy J. Stickney). We suppose Isaiah could be yet another sibling. But he’s a bit too young for that. We suppose he could be a random cousin. But that’s a bit too random.
Here’s our best guess: Norah and Hank had a daughter, Rachel (first Ellen Bethea, then Mari Morrow, then Daphnee Duplaix). Based on the age she was then, Rachel Gannon should be in her mid-50s now. (Assuming now Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome was involved, at which point, she might be 120.) A woman in her mid-50s could have a 30-year-old son. Isaiah Gannon looks to be about 30.
Coming Home
If Isaiah really is Norah’s grandson, does that mean we might see her again in Port Charles? Might she bring Rachel with her? Hank? RJ? Could this be a whole new GH family…with strong ties to the ABC soap family?
