Ishq Vishk Rebound review: Rohit Saraf’s new movie gets mixed response
The eagerly awaited film Ishq Vishk Rebound revisits the college romance genre, which first captivated audiences nearly 20 years ago with Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao in the lead roles in Ishq Vishk. This new iteration aims to cater to Gen Z viewers with its contemporary take on love and relationships.
Released last Friday, Ishq Vishk Rebound has drawn mixed reviews. While some appreciate its fresh approach, others find it lacking in comparison to the original. One user remarked, “I didn’t have huge expectations from Ishq Vishk Rebound but personally it wasn’t that bad to watch either. A short watch for timepass kinda movie, if not entirely true but it definitely showed how f-up & confused people nowadays are so that’s that. Didn’t feel like a waste!”
When much hype was created for Ishq Vishk Rebound over the month, it failed to receive much good reviews from the public and critics. If you haven't watched the movie then see the whole video to know how the public has reacted. #ishqvishkrebound #buzzzooka pic.twitter.com/ZIQXnHR6Kp

While some praised the film’s light-hearted nature and chemistry between the leads, others were not as impressed. One critic wrote, “#IshqVishkRebound is an unbearable film with the worst performances from the lead actors especially Pashmina. Couldn’t even match 1% of the Shahid Kapoor Iconic film. A sure shot Disaster.”
Conversely, another viewer enjoyed the film, saying, “#IshqVishkRebound’s biggest advantage is that it’s a rare urban romcom of Bollywood. We haven’t had a theatrical film of this kind in a long time. It’s a light-hearted flick with no bloodshed or tense scenes and that also goes in its favour.”
Overall, Rohit Saraf’s new movie offers a mix of nostalgia and modernity, aiming to appeal to both fans of the original and new audiences.
