J.D. Amato Joins ‘After Midnight’ With Taylor Tomlinson As Co-Showrunner For Season 2
EXCLUSIVE: J.D. Amato (Desus & Mero) has joined After Midnight with Taylor Tomlinson as a new co-showrunner on the upcoming second season. He’ll join Jack Martin who will continue to serve as co-showrunner on the CBS late-night show.
Amato most recently served as executive producer on the fourth season of late-night talker Desus & Mero on Showtime. He also was an executive producer on The Chris Gethard Show from 2015-2018.

Season 2 kicks off on Tuesday, September 3. Guests Thomas Lennon, Kimia Behpoornia and Sandy Honig will join Taylor on September 3, followed by Guy Branum and Kate Micucci on September 4 and Jordan Temple and Will Miles on September 5.
Amato will take over duties from Eric Pierce, who departed earlier this summer.
After Midnight is produced by CBS Studios, Spartina Industries and Funny Or Die. Amato and Martin will executive produce along with Stephen Colbert, Carrie Byalick, Tom Purcell and Evelyn McGee Colbert of Spartina Industries; James Dixon of Dixon Talent, Joe Farrell, Mike Farah, Whitney Hodack and Henry R. Mu?oz III of Funny Or Die and Jason U. Nadler of Serious Business. Jo Firestone is co-executive producer and head writer. Alexx Wells also serves as co-executive producer. Sharon Everitt directs.
