Jack White, Cigarettes After Sex, Alex G Lead Desert Daze 2024
Desert Daze is returning to Lake Perris, California after last year’s hiatus. On Tuesday, the SoCal-held music festival announced that Jack White, Cigarettes After Sex, Alex G, the Mars Volta, and Thundercat are among the top-liners scheduled for Oct. 10 to 13 later this year.
Among the performers slated for the festival are Fleet Foxes, 100 Gecs, Sleep, Liz Phair, De LaSoul, Marc Rebillet, Molchat Doma, and the Kills. Also playing sets at the three-day event are Power Trip, Beach Fossils, DIIV, Unwound, Say She She, Souls of Mischief, Shintaro Sakamoto, Danny Brown, and Mount Kimbie.

The festival will also include a performance by Death From Above 1979 of their album You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine to celebrate the LP’s 20th anniversary, a book reading from Kathleen Hanna, and a Jazz is Dead showcase with Ebo Taylor, Pat Thomas, and Adrian Younge.
The fest will also feature art installations by Non Plus Ultra, Media Pollution, and Translucent Albatross, along with work by projection artists such as Big Pauper, Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show, and Astral Violet.
Weekend passes for the festival will go on sale Friday, July 26 at 10 a.m. PT with tickets starting at $299 for general admission entry.
Last year’s event was was scrapped, and instead featured a 10-show series called Daze in the City, featuring performances from the Dandy Warhols, Les Claypool, and Blonde Redhead. The 2022 iteration of the fest included performances from Tame Impala, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, the Marias, and Iggy Pop.
