Holding true to White’s DIY roots, the album was recorded, produced, and mixed by him at his Third Man Studio throughout 2023 and 2024, pressed to vinyl at Third Man Pressing, and released by Third Man Records.
The album, which created a wave of excitement as word of its existence spread on July 19, is the first straight-ahead rock album White has released since his former group the White Stripes last performed in 2007.
“Blazing … It’s the freshest and most exciting rock and roll album to come down the pike in years,” Variety wrote in its rave review. “blazing rock and roll — “The energy doesn’t dip for a second, [and] it’s so exciting and explosive that it makes you wonder why he, or anyone else, hasn’t made an album like this recently.
