The Jacksons Release Statement Honoring The Late Tito Jackson
Jackie, Marlon, Randy, and Jermaine Jackson have broken their silence following the death of their beloved brother, Tito Jackson.
The Jacksons took to social media on Tuesday (Sept. 17) to pay tribute to Tito, who passed away earlier this week at age 70.
“We are beyond devastated and still in total shock that our dear brother Tito is no longer with us. He was always selfless, kind, laid back, cool, and always humble. He was loved wherever he went. Tito was such a loving brother and father, he loved his family so much,” they wrote.
The men reflected on how Tito birthed the Jackson 5, adding, “Everything began for us when Tito broke that guitar string and The Jackson 5 were born. Just a few days ago we were onstage together in Munich, Germany. We could never have dreamt that would be our last time with him. We lived our lives on stage, and Tito was on stage till the end, spreading joy and love.”
The post concluded by expressing how Tito is now resting peacefully with “our brother Michael, our brother Brandon, and our father,” noting, “Our world will never be the same. He will always be forever in our hearts. We love you so much Tito.”

The tragic news of Tito’s unexpected death was confirmed by his sons, Taj, Taryll and TJ following a report from Entertainment Tonight.
Taj, himself, honored his father in a personal tribute where he reflected on the death of his uncle Michael, mother Delores, and father.
“I truly appreciate all the love and support I have received during this incredibly difficult time […] The truth is I am not okay, and I don’t know if I ever will be […] When my mom passed, I had to stay strong for my 2 younger brothers. When my uncle Michael died, I remained strong for my 3 cousins. I don’t know how much emotional strength I have left… This photo is now my constant reminder that I have three angels watching over me,” wrote the singer-songwriter.
La Toya also issued a tribute amid Tito’s death as she shared footage from their last interaction together.
She described him as a “kind and gentle soul” who was “trying to capture this moment on his phone to pass it to someone.”
New details have emerged regarding Tito’s death and reports state that he suffered from a medical emergency before being transported to a local hospital in Gallup, New Mexico, where he was pronounced dead.
