Jaden Smith turned up to the Louis Vuitton spring 2025 women’s collection today wearing all black. The artist and designer carried a covetable bag from the brand—which retails for more than $30,000—and wore a pair of black leather penny loafer shoes.
Smith’s shoes were a black penny loafer style. The slip-on silhouette is classic for men. The name comes from the small lip inside the band that comes across the top of the foot. One could theoretically put a penny inside of that lip.
The laceless style can swing from a dress shoe to something casual. Smith’s style has an edge to them: the sport studs throughout the outsole. On closer inspection, the studs appear to be shards of metal that have been melted into the sole. They completely rim the rubber of the shoe.
With the shoes, Smith wore all black: a pair of low slung wide leg trousers, a black leather belt, black underwear, and a black leather bomber jacket. In addition to a charm hanging from his waist and a large necklace, both in silver, he carried a key accessory: Louis Vuitton’s Triumphal Arch monogram trunk.
The piece sells for $36,000. It is a miniature version of the Arch of Triumph and is the latest in a series of trunks from Vuitton that turn famous buildings into carrying pieces.
Known for his personal style, Smith is a shoe designer himself. For the Met Gala this year, he wore a black and white Thom Browne outfit. With it, he paired his own sneakers: the MSFTSrep 0.01 shoes, made in collaboration with New Balance. He’s released the style in multiple color ways.
Since the Met Gala he’s been seen in what appears to be a baby blue color way of that same style. He has worn it multiple times. No news has been made on a possible release.
