Jane Fonda is putting in work on the red carpet!
The 86-year-old actress recently stepped out at a premiere event for the documentary Still Working 9 to 5, and her wardrobe for the evening was certainly worth a round of applause.
Fonda showed up at the event on Wednesday, May 29, in a monochromatic 'fit, sporting an intricately patterned white jacket with small silver details and a pair of crisp white pants to match.
The Barbarella star channeled old Hollywood glamour with her hair and makeup for the outing, rocking a fancy curled hairstyle that had her vibrant grey locks shaped into elegant face-framing waves. She made the look even more classical with bold lipstick in a bright red shade.
While attending the event in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Fonda was reunited with co-star and good friend Lily Tomlin, who she acted in the original 9 to 5 film from 1980, along with Dolly Parton.
"We’ve made two other films together since then and spent seven years doing Grace and Frankie," Fonda told PEOPLE on the red carpet while talking about her friendship with Tomlin, 84, over the years. "We love each other."
"We spend time with each other," she added, while also speaking to her relationship with Parton, 78. "Unfortunately, Dolly's all the way on the other side of the country, so we don't see her quite as much.
Still, she insisted, "I just feel lucky."
The new documentary will feature Fonda, Tomlin, Parton and Dabney Coleman as they reflect on workplace inequality 40 years after the film and explore why it "was never a laughing matter," per the documentary's official website.
