Jason Benetti to host comedy show for charity with Detroit Tigers players in July

Members of the Detroit Tigers team – both on the field and in the broadcast booth – will join forces with professional comedians for a comedy night to benefit charity next month.

The Tigers announced an exclusive comedy show, named "Hits and Giggles," hosted by TV play-by-play announcer Jason Benetti alongside unnamed players and professional comedians at the Detroit House of Comedy on July 11 at 7 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Detroit Tigers Foundation, the franchise's charitable organization, and the Children’s Center art therapy program, a local nonprofit focused on youth mental health. After the show, the Tigers say there will be continued entertainment on Columbia Street, weather permitting.
