Jason Biggs’ wife reveals she didn’t see ‘American Pie’ until after they were married: ‘I was too busy’

She didn’t want a piece.

Jason Biggs’ wife hadn’t seen “American Pie” when she first started dating him — and only watched the raunchy teen comedy after they were already married.

“I felt like I was too highbrow theater major at the time,” Biggs’ other half, actress and author Jenny Mollen, told The Post.

“I was too busy hanging out at like an indie video store.”

Biggs, 46, said his then-future spouse’s initial snub of the hit movie — which made him a household name and spawned three sequels — was icing on the cake.

“Yeah, she hadn’t seen it when we were together, which was actually quite refreshing,” he said.

Mollen, 45, finally saw the 1999 coming-of-age comedy — including Biggs’ iconic scene where he’s intimate with an apple pie — with her hubby the first year they were married.

“I mean I was horrified,” Mollen said. “But it was funny.”

The couple, who are the new hosts of TBS’ revival of “Dinner and Movie,” recalled their first date — at Sushi Park on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles — where they were set up by Mollen’s sister.

“It was actually a double date. Basically it was her sister and this guy she was seeing at the time, they set us up and we ended up going the four of us,” explained Biggs, who grew up in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.

The pair — who would be married nine months later — ended up grabbing a drink together that same night, after the other couple left.

A few days later, Biggs reached out to Mollen to officially ask her out.

“He texted me a couple days after and wrote, ‘Fancy a dinner date?’ which, I . . . thought was so strange.

“Like ‘Fancy a dinner date? What year was this?”

Mollen still has the vest Biggs donned for the occasion.

“He wore a yellow sweater vest, a ‘svest,’ that I have kept,” she said.

“Do you still have that?” Biggs asked.

“Yes, it’s in the back room … because it’s just so bad,” Mollen said, laughing.

“It looked like he was about to go golfing in a ‘Caddyshack’ movie.”

“I was going for ‘Caddyshack’ Chic. ‘Caddy chic,’ I call it,” Biggs replied.

The lovebirds, who live in the West Village with their two sons, Sid, 10, and Lazlo, 6, tied the knot at a FedEx Kinko’s off the 101 Freeway in Calabasas, CA in 2008.

“Our parents were driving us crazy at the time. We were in our 20s and didn’t want to be beholden to whatever their ideas of our union looked like,” said Mollen, a native of Arizona.

“And I was doing some sort of Pilates class and this woman said, ‘Oh, I know a woman who can come over. She’s a justice of the peace, and she can marry you literally in your pajamas, in your bed.’ And I thought, ‘Oh, that’d be kind of funny if we were just there with the dogs laying in bed.'”

When they called the woman to ask if she could marry them, she told them she was busy that day, but would be able to officiate if they met her at the shipping retailer.

“We were just young and excited and insanely impulsive. And we jumped in the car and were like, ‘We’ll be right there,'” Mollen recalled.

“Actually, we had to do verbal vows to make it official in addition to signing the paperwork. And we did it out by the car because we had our dogs with us,” Biggs added.

“So we were holding our three small dogs in the parking lot, which was shared with a Taco Bell, cars whizzing by on the freeway … very romantic.”
