Jason Kelce may still be exploring his options when it comes to life after the NFL, but if there's any chance wrestling's in his future, he's already got a mentor locked and loaded.
The recently retired center made a surprise appearance at WrestleMania 40, where he and Eagles teammate Lane Johnson jumped into the ring, their identities obscured by luchador masks, to assist Rey Mysterio and Andrade in their match against Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar, kicking off a potential new professional path for the athlete—one that seems to already be well-received.
When the duo ripped off their masks the crowd went wild, suggesting that wrestling fans would welcome a career shift from Kelce with open arms. Then, in the wake of the victory, WWE's The Miz offered to train him, should he ever deign to set foot in the ring again.
According to TMZ, there's a pretty good chance of it happening—plenty of folks they spoke with around the organization gave the publication a "resounding 'Yes'" when asked if the WWE was open to additional opportunities with the NFL legend, though Kelce hasn't at all addressed the possibility, though we expect to hear mention of it on the upcoming episode of New Heights.
The former NFLer is flush with potential right now, with Forged in Fire's Doug Marcaida inviting him to participate in the History series and Arnold Schwarzenegger offering him his best advice for a potential gubernatorial run, just to name a few. But for now, Kelce doesn't seem to have his eye on any specific prize, other than "looking forward to do[ing] something that's not football."
