Jason Kelce Shares His 'Natural' Weight Loss Secret Following NFL Retirement
Now that Jason Kelce has retired from the NFL after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, the former center has dished on his "natural" weight loss secret.
During a chat with Access Hollywood during the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at Lake Tahoe, Nev., Kelce opened up about his wellness progress.
"I feel good, the kids and I, and my wife, Kylie, have been down the shore," Kelce told Access Hollywood at the 35th Annual American Century Championship on July 11. "So I've been eating a lot of ice cream. So I've started to go the opposite route again."
Kelce was listed as having weighed 295 pounds during the 2023-2024 NFL season, his last before announcing his retirement in March.
"But I'm still down, probably I'm low 280s right now," he noted. "My whole thing is just calories in, calories out. I don't overcomplicate it. I don't try to get too extreme with diets in general."
Kelce added: "Eat something that's natural, whether it be a plant, animal-based product, things like that, not processed. And don't eat too much. The weight kind of comes off naturally."
On New Heights, the podcast he hosts with his brother, Travis Kelce, Jason shared his goal of dropping 35 pounds post-retirement.
"I'm gonna slim down," the 36-year-old said in March. "My goal is 250. This last week, I got down to like 285 cause I knew I was doing this. And then I had cake like three days in a row, so..."
In other celebrity golf fundraiser news, a video of Jason signing someone's baby circulated online from the five-day tournament. (Definitely check it out.)
Hopefully, fans get even more interesting/funny tidbits from the Kelce brothers as the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship wraps up this weekend.
