Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee has been elected to Stockton City Council.

As reported by Stocktonia , Lee has won the election to represent District 6 against incumbent Kimberley Warmsley, garnering 56.2 percent of the 6,232 votes. Stockton, California is Lee's hometown, but this is his first foray into politics. Warmsley, meanwhile, is currently Stockton's vice mayor.

"Deeply honored to have earned the support and trust of my neighbors, the voters of my hometown, and you," Lee wrote in an Instagram post thanking everyone who voted for him. "Now I begin the work of creating safer and stronger communities, improving our quality of life and charting our next chapter. Heck, forget the next chapter. We will write a whole new book! Stockton - thank you."

Warmsley, who didn't host an election night party, issued a statement on Tuesday, Nov. 5 to say that she was "truly honored" to have served her district. Lee launched a campaign against Warmsley a few weeks after she denied funding for a youth pilot program in a city council meeting. Warmsley, a licensed clinical therapist, has served the district since 2020.
