You know Javier Bardem from tons of things — but did you know that he was once a stripper?
OK, OK, let's not get out of hand here. It was only for one day. We'll explain everything.
So, during an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show, Javier said that he once hopped out of a cake for a friend's fiancé when he was 20 years old.
Later that night, he recreated his routine on the dance floor — and the owner of the club took notice immediately.
"The owner of the disco said, ‘Will you do that every Friday?’" he said. "And I said, ‘Yeah, of course!’ because I was drunk.”
“Then they hired me, and I had to perform the next Friday.”
But Javier got the jitters before showtime — so, he called his mom for help.
“I was so nervous, I called my mom and my sister to accompany me to my striptease number,” he explained.
So his family joined him, as he danced to Joe Cocker's "You Can Leave Your Hat On" and wore "a tuxedo that I would open.”
“There was nobody — I think there were, like, three people there?" he recalled. "And it was very embarrassing, but I did it! I’m a performer, and I have my work.”
