Jay Leno coming to Columbus' Mershon Auditorium in September
Award-winning comedian Jay Leno, whose reign of late-night talk television included two decades as the host of “The Tonight Show,” will perform at Mershon Auditorium on Sept. 13.
Tickets for Leno’s appearance will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at ticketmaster.com.
Leno, who appeared last year at the McCoy Center for the Arts in New Albany, is not only a talk-show host and stand-up comedian, he also wears many other hats: bestselling children’s book author, corporate speaker, TV and movie voiceover artist, pioneering car builder and mechanic, and philanthropist among them.
A known car enthusiast, Leno currently produces and hosts of the CNBC series “Jay Leno’s Garage” now in its seventh season. The show is an outgrowth of the Jay Leno’s Garage YouTube channel, which has an international following and has garnered several Emmy Awards and nominations.
Leno also hosts “You Bet Your Life,” a comedy game show featuring strangers paired up to answer trivia questions to win thousands of dollars.
