Piers Morgan is continuing to feel blowback from his controversial interview with Jaguar Wright, who linked JAY-Z to the swarming allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs.

While Morgan has issued an apology to the Carters for allowing Wright to broadcast baseless accusations against them, the couple’s lawyer has accused the pundit of causing them “harm” while displaying a lack of journalistic integrity.

“He didn’t just harm the Carters, what he did, effectively, was to drown out the voices of actual victims in an ongoing case and an ongoing investigation,” Alex Spiro, the Carters’ attorney, said during an interview with TMZ. “That was too much for me”

Spiro chided Morgan for attempting to spin the ongoing legal drama surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs into publicity for his own show by bringing uninvolved parties, such as his clients, into the mix.

“[He] should not take advantage of the situation and exploit it in this way. That’s the real reason for action,” Spiro said of the conservative-leaning Brit.

The attorney also commended Beyoncé and JAY-Z for making a statement with their actions and not allowing a false narrative to run wild.

“Well, as to the Carters, I can tell you that when they put their foot down on something as they did here, they are sending a message. And if they can’t stand up and make sure [of] right from wrong, then who can?”

According to Spiro, the nature of Wright’s claims prompted himself and the Carters to act swiftly in addressing Morgan’s role in those comments being publicized.

“There’s rumors, there’s nonsense, and this is one step further,” Spiro said told the outlet. “This is a pointed and formal accusation of something and I felt needed to be responded to.”

As for Morgan’s apology, Spiro says his contrition was prompted by a “blunt ultimatum” he personally made regarding potential legal action against Morgan.

“Remove that false accusation that’s demonstrably false or a court’s gonna order you to,” Spiro said of his warning to Morgan. “So I think he made the wise choice and acted accordingly.”

Piers Morgan’s interview with Jaguar Wright has caused a major stir, as she likened JAY-Z to alleged sex trafficker Sean “Diddy” Combs, deeming the Brooklyn native a “monster” akin to Combs. After receiving a demand to remove any “false accusations” against the Carters from the interview, Morgan obliged and issued a public apology to the couple for his actions.
