JAY-Z And REFORM Alliance Raise Over $24 Million At Casino Night Gala
JAY-Z and the REFORM Alliance amassed over $24 million in donations this weekend during its inaugural Casino Night Event in Atlantic City this past weekend.
On Saturday (Sept. 30), Hov, along with Michael Rubin and Meek Mill and the REFORM Alliance, held a gala at the Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City in an effort to raise money to go towards justice reform efforts across the country.
The black-tie event was hosted by actor/comedian Kevin Hart and was attended by an exclusive list of celebs, with Kim Kardashian, Tom Brady, Matthew McConaughey, Alex Rodriguez, and other household names gracing the party with their presence.
The Hip-Hop community was in full force, as Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Quavo, Jack Harlow, Fabolous, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Fat Joe, French Montana, Ne-Yo, Lil Kim, and other hit-makers also partook in the festivities.
Among the activities at the fundraiser was a luxurious dinner, live auction, and a blackjack tournament in which the winner took home $1 million. A live conversation between fellow Philly natives Kevin Hart and Million Dollaz Worth of Game cohost Wallo also took place, where the motivational speaker urged those in attendance to give back to the underserved in their communities.
Of the millions raised during the gala, $7.8 million was netted from the live auction alone, which included items donated by George Condo, Rashid Johnson, Brady, and Hov himself. The winner of the blackjack tournament also donated $750,000 of his $1 million payout to the REFORM Alliance, which treated the guests to an afterparty with performances from Travis Scott, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Meek Mill, Quavo, French Montana, Fat Joe, Fabolous, and more.
