Jeffrey Dean Morgan says son's 'little head exploded' at his first movie premiere
Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilarie Burton made a rare public appearance this week, stepping out for the Rampage world premiere with 8-year-old son, Augustus.
While fans were excited to get a glimpse of the happy family — minus newborn daughter, George — no one was more excited than Gus. Morgan told us that Wednesday night marked their son’s first premiere ever.
“It was a big night for the Morgan clan,” the Rampage star told Yahoo. “He didn’t know that a premiere meant he was going to see the movie.”
The Walking Dead actor continued, “[Gus] thought he was going to get to meet Dwayne [Johnson]… and do a red carpet thing — which I don’t know what he thought that was.”
Needless to say, Gus was excited to see the film and meet The Rock. “On the car ride to the premiere he figured out that he was going to get to see the movie and his little head exploded,” Morgan laughed. “It was a very exciting time.”
Gus loved the movie and apparently had quite the reaction about the ending — which we won’t spoil here.
Morgan, 51, and the One Tree Hill actress, 35, welcomed George in February. Their date night this week marked the parents’ first night away from their little girl.

In case any Rampage fans are wondering: No, the Morgan’s didn’t name their girl after George the gorilla, the film’s star.
