Jelly Roll Reveals Unexpected Nickname Given to Him by Wife Bunnie Xo
While Jelly Roll, real name Jason Bradley DeFord, is already known by a memorable nickname, it turns out that this isn't the only nickname he goes by with his wife Bunnie Xo.
The country star opened up about his relationship with his wife while visiting The Howard Stern Show, telling the radio jockey how they first met, saying, "We were at a bar. She was in a situation, and I was just so lost in life."
Luckily, everything turned out well, and Jelly Roll revealed Bunnie Xo's personal nickname for him: "She calls me her Pound Puppy. She adopted a Pound Puppy." The nickname seems to be a reference to the hit 1980s kids' toys of the same name.
Jelly Roll further flaunted his love for Bunnie Xo, saying, "If I didn't have my wife, I don't know what I'd do... I loved her from go. I loved her from the moment I met her."
The couple first met in 2015, and they ended up tying the knot the next year. Years later, Jelly Roll rocketed to stardom in the country music industry, and Bunnie Xo has stayed by his side the whole time.
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo have custody of his 16-year-old daughter Bailee from a previous relationship, while the singer also has a younger son named Noah with a different ex named Melisa. The former couple reportedly shares custody of the now-7-year-old boy.
Jelly Roll and his wife recently revealed that they are currently trying to have a child of their own, with the "Son of a Sinner" singer saying during a podcast appearance, “My wife and I are talking about having a baby, and it really made me realize that at almost 40, I was like, it means I got to live to at least 60. I got to see this kid into college."
Bunnie Xo later confirmed the news, noting that they were undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) in an attempt to get pregnant.
