Jenni 'JWoww' Farley gets a restraining order against Roger Mathews, confirms they are divorcing
Any hope that Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Roger Mathews will reconcile seems lost now.
The Jersey Shore Family Reunion star confirmed Friday that she has taken out a restraining order against her husband after a nasty blowup — and made it very clear that their divorce is on. For his part, Mathews, who was taken into police custody on Thursday night so that the order could be executed, called the reality star “hate-filled” and broke down in tears talking about how she’s keeping him from seeing their two children, Meilani and Greyson.
Farley posted a statement on Instagram on Friday:

The “statements and social media posts” referenced were posted by Mathews. We first learned there was drama between the pair when he uploaded videos from the back of a police car early Friday, explaining that they had had a fight — he claimed it was over Farley having to work when she wasn’t originally scheduled to, leading to her canceling plans she had with their daughter — and she took out the restraining order against him. He wrote that it was the “saddest day of my life” as he watched Farley “tell my daughter ‘she is sorry she had children with your daddy'” during the dispute.

“Now I have a restraining order” against me, he said in a second video. “I’m not allowed to go home and see my children.”

Mathews posted several other videos — he said it was after much consideration because he initially didn’t want to air dirty laundry for his kids to one day see — including one talking about the fight. He claimed that it took place in front of their daughter, who spanked him and called him a bad dad after hearing what Farley was saying about him. In another video, there were a lot of tears, and he talked about his wife being “hate-filled.”
Mathews posted several more videos, explaining that it was the only way he could go up against Farley, who is “beloved” by the world due to her Jersey Shore stardom. “The truth. That’s what I have,” he wrote. One of his truth bombs, he explained in another video, was that he said Farley told him during a couples counseling session that she was negotiating a side deal with MTV in which she would be paid an extra $70,000 to discuss their divorce on camera. “Everything is about money with her,” he said. “All I want is time with my children.”
In another, he also claimed he called police first during their fight as a preemptive measure. He said he was worried that Farley would hurt herself on purpose and then blame it on him. So he filed a police report. Then a few hours later, the police came to his door to execute the restraining order. He described himself as “hurt” by the whole mess.
Cyndi Lauper educated us all. “I see your true colors shining through.”

His last video was from 7 a.m. He said that every day he wakes up at that time with his son. “I’m not with him this morning,” he said through tears. “I’m not with him this morning because his mother is so hate-filled toward his father that she would do something like this.”

Farley and Mathews dated for years before tying the knot in 2015 — one year after they welcomed their daughter. They had their son, who Farley recently confirmed has autism, in 2016. Their marriage has played out not only on Jersey Shore but also on Jenni & Roger: Domesticated, Snooki & JWoww, and Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.
Fans were saddened in September when Farley filed for divorce from Mathews, citing irreconcilable differences. However, soon after, Mathews revealed on Instagram that they were in couples counseling and are working on mending their relationship. They were later seen out together, including on the red carpet, when they took their daughter to Trolls: the Experience in NYC. But it seems that now any chance of a reconciliation is over.
