Jennifer Aniston Sparks Heated Debate With Blunt Response to J.D Vance's Viral 'Childless' Comments
After J.D. Vance was named as Donald Trump's vice presidential candidate, an old interview in which he called Vice President Kamala Harris and other people “childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives" and stated that they have no "direct stake" in the future of America has gained attention. Now, actress Jennifer Aniston and others are weighing in on the pointed comments.
Aniston took to social media to share a clip of the interview, writing, "I truly can't believe this is coming from a potential VP of The United States."
She went on, "All I can say is...Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.”
In the past, Aniston has discussed her difficulties trying to have kids through IVF, but before she opened up about this, she was openly criticized for allegedly deciding not to have any children.
Jennifer Aniston, who rarely makes political statements, responds to @JDVance’s comments about “childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives.”

The divisive debate continued as people considered both Aniston and Vance's comments. Many agreed with Aniston, writing things like, "So basically your voice and vote are irrelevant if you aren't a mom or wife? Here I thought we all matter!" and "Powerful, heartfelt statement. Most women relate to this."
Another questioned, "Just because you CAN HAVE children, doesn't mean you SHOULD," leading someone to flip it and ask, "That logic works both ways. You could just as easily say if more people made the decision to have children, we might life [sic] in a better world."
"Yes, because supporting families is just such a weird thing. ??????????," wrote one person in support of Vance's statement, leading another to reply, "Its not supporting families. Its [sic] saying women are only valued for their ovaries."
Other celebrities and well-known figures have also commented on Vance's statements, with Meghan McCain writing, "These JD comments are activating women across all sides, including my most conservative Trump supporting friends. These comments have caused real pain and are just innately unchristian. This is not who we are."
The comments continue to make waves as the debate goes on, with many more jumping in to share their thoughts on the topic.
