Jennifer Hudson bringing holiday tour to Chicago

CHICAGO — Actress and singer Jennifer Hudson is bringing her holiday tour to Chicago.

“Jennifer Hudson’s The Gift of Love: An Intimate Live Experience” is coming to the Chicago Theater on Dec. 13.

Hudson announced the news on her Instagram account saying, in part: “I am SO excited to announce my limited engagement holiday tour “Jennifer Hudson’s The Gift of Love: An Intimate Live Experience”

Presale for the event starts at noon Wednesday on Ticketmaster by using the code: JINGLE. Regular ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. on Sept. 20 at www.jenniferhudson.world.

The show announcement comes as the Chicago-native’s first Christmas album is expected to be released on Oct. 18.

“The Gift of Love,” her Holiday LP, will feature Christmas classics including a collaboration with Common on “Almost Christmas.”
