Jennifer Lawrence is engaged to Cooke Maroney
E! News has confirmed with Jennifer Lawrence‘s representative that she is engaged to boyfriend Cooke Maroney. Page Six TV reported earlier that the 28-year-old actress recently showed off a “massive ring” during a romantic dinner at Raoul’s with her 33-year-old art dealer beau.
“It was a giant rock. They seemed like they were celebrating and people were talking about it. The ring was very noticeable. They were sitting back in a corner. She was wearing a cute black dress with white polka dots,” an eyewitness told the news outlet. Page Six TV says the Red Sparrow star has been sharing the happy news with close friends.
It was first reported in June that Lawrence and Maroney were seeing each other, although it’s unclear when they began dating. They were purportedly set up by a mutual friend. Maroney works as director at Gladstone 64, one of the Gladstone Galleries, which represents artists like Carroll Dunham — the father of Lawrence’s friend Lena Dunham.

The Hunger Games star and Maroney have enjoyed a very low-key romance over the past several months, a change from Lawrence’s string of high-profile relationships. Prior to Maroney, she dated director Darren Aronofsky for a year before splitting in September 2017. Their 22-year age difference — along with the negative reviews of Mother! — caused the pair to breakup. She also dated Chris Martin after the Coldplay singer’s divorce from Gwyneth Paltrow and Lawrence was on and off with her X-Men co-star, Nicholas Hoult.
Lawrence has not publicly addressed her romance with Maroney, so it’s no surprise she would keep her engagement hush-hush. However, she hasn’t shied away from holding hands with Maroney in public. The couple have been photographed together everywhere from New York City to Rome to Paris.
