After taking the summer off, Jennifer Lopez is back on the red carpet and turned heads as she made an appearance at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of her upcoming movie “Unstoppable.” The event was held at Roy Thomson Hall on Sept. 6 in Toronto, Canada, and it marks her first red carpet appearance since May.
Lopez stars in the sports drama as the mother of real-life wrestler Anthony Robles (played by Jharrel Jerome). For the premiere, she wowed in a Tamara Ralph dress with Hassanzadeh jewelry.
The dress is Look 12 of the designer’s Autumn/Winter 2024-25 collection, and it is a silver mirror embroidered column dress with cut out detailing, featuring black silk velvet bows. She accompanied the look with a silver clutch.
While the dress revealed the entire side of Lopez’s body, the shoes were equally captivating. The actress has an affinity for platform heels and isn’t afraid to wear them on and off the red carpet. This time around she seemingly paired the Tamara Ralph mirror dress with wore Dolce & Gabbana’s silver platform sandals with rhinestone embellishments, that also had a mirror-like effect.
Lopez let the dress and shoes do the talking and kept her glam simple—wearing her straight golden locks out and split down the middle, and her makeup in her go-to bronze look.
“Unstoppable” made its debut at TIFF but it is expected to be released in December. The film follows the life of Anthony Robles, who was born with one leg, yet defied expectations by becoming a champion wrestler in college, competing against the very school that rejected him. Lopez’s ex Ben Affleck, who is a producer on the project, skipped the premiere, which took place just weeks after she filed for divorce.
The last time Lopez hit a red carpet was in Mexico City for a press event for her Netflix movie “Atlas,” which took place in May. She was scheduled to go on tour this summer but called it off with a representative saying the singer was “taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.”
