Jennifer Lopez shares message about 'negativity' amid tour cancellation
This is Jennifer Lopez now.
The A-list singer is spreading the love amid her tour cancellation and Ben Affleck split rumors, thanking fans "so much" for making her Netflix space movie "Atlas" a No. 1 film worldwide.
"It may seem like there's a lot of negativity out in the world right now…but don't let the voices of a few drown out that there is soooo much love out there," Lopez said in a statement on her newsletter Wednesday.
The statement comes after JLo announced in her On The JLo fan newsletter last week that she canceled her summer North American tour, which was to be her first in five years, weeks before it was scheduled to start.
Jennifer Lopez cancels 2024 tour This Is Me: 'Completely heartsick and devastated'
"Representatives for Live Nation announced today that the Jennifer Lopez US Summer 2024 Tour 'THIS IS ME...LIVE' is canceled, citing ... 'Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends,'" the newsletter said at the time last week.
The statement was followed by a personal note from Lopez, writing that she was "completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again," adding that she loved her fans "so much. Until next time."
Last month, social media was abuzz after Lopez last month at the premiere of her new film "Atlas" ? without her husband. The 54-year-old made an appearance on the red carpet with her wedding ring and People magazine reported that Affleck missed the red carpet because he was filming "The Accountant 2."
But it didn't stop the solo red-carpet pit stop from fueling marriage rumors.
Earlier this year, she released her album "This is Me … Now" and its complementary musical film, "This is Me … Now: A Love Story" and the Amazon Prime documentary "The Greatest Love Story Never Told" which followed her reuniting with her now-husband after decades apart. The pair, who were an early 2000s power couple, reunited and married in summer 2022.
