A woman of many talents, Jennifer Love Hewitt makes her return to Lifetime as she serves as star, director and executive producer on the new Christmas movie The Holiday Junkie.
Inspired by Hewitt's own relationship with the holiday and the loss of her mother, the movie follows The Holiday Junkie, a decorating and planning service company run by Andie (Hewitt) and her mother, Mimi. After Mimi passes away, Andie is forced to face her first Christmas without her mother and carry The Holiday Junkie torch on her own. Despite the challenges, Andie may also find some love at Christmas along the way.

What is the release date for The Holiday Junkie on Lifetime?
Lifetime hasn't announced a release date just yet, but Deadline reports that the movie is being positioned as a tentpole of the network’s 2024 It’s a Wonderful Lifetime movie slate.
Who is cast in The Holiday Junkie?
In addition to Hewitt, the film stars her IRL husband, Brian Hallisay and their three children, Atticus, Autumn and Aidan.

Hewitt and Hallisay, who most recently shared the screen on 9-1-1, met on the set of The Client List, where Hewitt starred in both the movie and the series for Lifetime.
“To be able to direct and be in this movie with my husband is such a special opportunity. And to be back home with Lifetime feels as right as Christmas magic!” Hewitt said.
"Jennifer is beloved by Lifetime and our viewers,” said Elaine Frontain Bryant, EVP, Head of Programming Genres for A&E, Lifetime and LMN. “We’re excited to work with her again on this special project near and dear to her and to have it as one of our cornerstones for our It’s a Wonderful Lifetime slate."

What is The Holiday Junkie about?
The movie centers around Andie (Hewitt), a woman who runs a decorating and planning service company—The Holiday Junkie—alongside her mother, Mimi. When her mother dies, Andie must learn to carrie the torch on her own.
There's a synergistic element to the project. Last year, Hewitt launched the marketing and consumer brand The Holiday Junkie, and this December, she'll releasing a book called Inheriting Magic, which details Hewitt's journey through grief after losing her mother, Patricia Hewitt, in 2012. "I feel healed enough from losing my mom to finally be able to write about it," she told E! News of the book.
"I also have seen how creating little bits of magic for my kids and friends makes our memories and everyday lives special," she added. "I wanted to honor my mom and how much being a mom means to me and this felt like the best way."
