Jennifer Meyer files for divorce after 4-year split from Tobey Maguire
Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer are officially ending their marriage, four years after separating.
On Friday, People confirmed that Meyer, a jewelry designer, filed for divorce from the Spider-Man actor two days earlier. Representatives of Maguire did not return Yahoo Entertainment’s request for comment.
Maguire and Meyer first met in 2003, and tied the knot in Hawaii in September 2007. The pair, however, have been separated since 2016, and have both been linked to other partners, Maguire with the model Tatiana Dieteman and Meyer with NBA agent Rich Paul.
In a statement given to People after their initial split in 2016, the couple said: “After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple.” The former couple, who share two children, 13-year-old Ruby and 11-year-old Otis, added, “As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship.”
Since that separation, Meyer has been public about her co-parenting experience. “Remember that you love your kids equally more than anything in the world and that you want the best for them,” she told Us Weekly in 2018. “And if they see parents that don’t get along or fight, then they’re going to be unhappy, and nobody wants unhappy children.”
Maguire has also supported Meyer, attending a launch of her boutique in 2018 — her jewelry is a favorite among celebrity clientele, including Jennifer Aniston and Meghan Markle.

In June, Meyer posted a Father’s Day Instagram photo with Maguire and their children, writing, “To the best baby daddy. All I can say is no matter what happens in life, to relationships etc.... choose a dad for your kids that you can count on forever. This one right here is my best friend and the greatest dad to our babies.”
