“Tonight as we remember the legends of our industry we lost this past year, we celebrate their lives and legacy and the joy they brought to us,” said Sally Struthers as she and her former All in the Family costar Rob Reiner introduced the In Memoriam segment.
"We were part of a very unique family, not just the bunkers, but Norman Lear's extended family,” they added, paying tribute to Lear, who died last month at the age of 101.
“Over the decades, Norman brought us together and he created groundbreaking television shows that depicted real people,” Reiner said of Lear. “Made us laugh, made us think, made us feel.”
