'Jersey Shore' star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro jokes about domestic violence incident: 'Too soon?'
Three weeks after Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s ex-girlfriend, Jen Harley, was arrested on domestic battery charges, the two are back on good terms.
Magro joked about the altercation, which began with an argument at a barbecue and ended with her allegedly dragging him with her car, on his Instagram Story on Wednesday. He shared a photo of Heath Ledger’s Joker with the words, “Wanna know how I got these scars?” He hashtagged it “#LifeCanBeALotOfThingsButNeverLetItBeADrag” and “#TooSoon?” with laughing emojis.
He later shared a quote from one of Nicholas Sparks’s most popular tearjerkers, A Walk to Remember.
The same day, Harley shared a few snapshots of the couple hugged up together, looking more on-again than off-again, while hanging out with friends and celebrating the Fourth of July. Their 3-month-old daughter, Ariana, made a cameo in the pics.
The couple also were spotted with Ariana and several friends at a TGI Friday’s in New Jersey late last week.
“They are co-parenting and trying to coexist and be the best parents they can be,” a source told People after the outing. “They are taking things slow. I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up back together.”
The story was much different when Harley was arrested in Las Vegas. TMZ reported that Harley struck the MTV star in the face while their daughter was in the car. After Magro demanded that she pull over, he allegedly got tangled in the seatbelt and ended up getting dragged alongside the car.
The Clark County District Attorney’s office later dropped the charges against Harley due to “insufficient evidence.”
Magro and Harley, who began dating in early 2017, have had other public feuds, including another Las Vegas incident in which the cops were called. The new parents have also slammed each other on social media and argued on-camera.
